The first color that this collection was made in was in the malachite green stone and that is because this is heavily inspired by Bilbo Baggin’s door in the Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit movies, linking the element of fantasy into the pieces as well. Tolkien’s work holds a special place in my heart and has shaped a large part of my life therefore I wanted to create a piece inspired by it but also can worn every day without looking like a movie prop piece. I also wanted it to be diverse in terms of the client who may not know the full inspiration behind it but can see it as a piece that they can wear every day.
